Hello! Welcome to the 0GraviT (can pronounce as "zero gravity") zone, my spot to talk about new/historical developments in the space exploration industry or random topics in gaming/technology.
The goal of the 0GraviT Zone is to provide a spot to find thoughts on new developments in rocket engineering, space exploration, and space video games.
My interest to write about these topics comes from my perspective as a recent graduate in aerospace engineering, and my lifelong interest in modern/historical rocket systems. I, am not an industry expert, however, so take my opinions with a grain of salt!
In my opinion, you can't call yourself a space exploration enthusiast if you don't have hundreds of hours minimum in Kerbal Space Program (KSP). Heck, you really ought to have THOUSANDS of hours to earn that title.
This game has inspired many young adults (including myself) to pursue Aerospace Engineering or other related fields to try and "play the game in real life." So if you are a veteran of KSP, and especially an RSS/RO/RP-1 veteran, this is the spot for you.
Armchair Aerospace is founded on the principles of the "Armchair Rocket Scientist," a type of person who often makes bold critiques/assumptions of complex engineering systems when they really don't have the experience or knowledge to back up such claims. But, let's be real here. It's pretty damn fun to be an armchair rocket scientist even if you're wrong!
I will usually play under this company name in my KSP RSS/RO/RP-1 career saves, as I find it to fit well for the historically inaccurate rockets I end up building to beat milestones years ahead of real missions.
